Sabrina Starke at Rooted Festival

Sabrina Starke will perform at Rooted Festival on Saturday, August 29, 2026, marking the festival's third edition at De Hoorneboeg. The Rotterdam-based artist's sound moves fluidly between soul, hip-hop, folk and blues, a fitting match for a festival built around themes of connection and diversity.

Over her 15-year career, she's collected two Edison Awards and two Radio 6 Awards, but her real currency is the introspective depth she brings to live performance. Her seventh album Weather the Storm, released in 2024, draws on her experience with a breast cancer diagnosis and recovery—material that transforms vulnerability into resonance on stage.

She'll share the bill with Neco Novellas, Nawa Sira, Oifik Youssefi, and others at what promises to be one of the season's more considered gatherings.
