Yoni Mayraz Teams with Dub Pioneer Scientist

London-based keyboardist Yoni Mayraz released a new single on January 30, 2026, collaborating with dub pioneer Scientist. The project reimagines material from Mayraz's acclaimed 2025 album Dogs Bark Babies Cry, which appeared on several year-end lists.

Known for his work with King Tubby and Lee "Scratch" Perry, Scientist strips the original back to its core and rebuilds it through bass pressure, masterful use of tape delay, and analogue alchemy. The collaboration pairs Mayraz's hip-hop-inflected jazz with the spacious, effects-heavy approach that defined Jamaican dub's golden era.
