Kubla Heads to Hamburg's Reeperbahn Festival

Toronto soul artist Kubla will perform at Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg this September, marking a significant European showing for the independent multi-instrumentalist.

Raised on Canada's west coast, Kubla has built a reputation through two self-produced albums—Close to the Sun (2023) and Sounds From Deep Down (2024)—that blend warm soul textures with the improvisational instincts of a seasoned jazz musician. His recent work includes a smoky reimagining of Daft Punk's "Something About Us," featuring trumpet and fuzzy guitar lines that collapse genre boundaries without fanfare.

Reeperbahn Festival runs as Europe's largest club festival, drawing industry professionals and music fans across four days of performances in Hamburg's St. Pauli district.
