Kwaku Asante

Kwaku Asante is an artist from the UK who started sharing recordings and gaining fans on Soundcloud in 2017. His musical influences include his mother, his grandfather (an executive producer in Ghana who worked with such artists as Fela Kuti and Miriam Makeba), Whitney Houston, Luther Vandross, and his biggest influence, D'Angelo, who he has described as "the greatest of all time". Of his early recordings, Asante said: "The first time I ever recorded anything was at the beginning of 2017.
